Time: 11:00 - 13:00

Location: The Folk Hall, New Earswick, York YO32 4AQ

Key Speakers:

Victoria Coyle, Head of SEND at City of York Council

Claire Kenny, SEND Family Hub Manager

Victoria and Claire will lead a collaborative discussion on current services, ongoing developments, and future plans for supporting children and young people with SEND.

This is your chance to:

  • Share experiences, feedback, and suggestions
  • Ask questions directly to key decision-makers
  • Learn about new initiatives and support networks
  • Help shape the future of SEND provision in York

Key Focus Areas:

We’re excited to share that The Clifton Hub is being developed into the new flagship hub for SEND. This will be a dedicated space where families and professionals can access information, signposting, and support to better understand the services available for children and young people with additional needs. The SEND Family Hub Manager will provide insights into the planning process and seek your feedback and contributions to ensure the hub meets the community's needs.

In addition to the hub development, our strategy workshop will dive into the current SEND priorities and help us focus on the top key areas to address in our shared action plan. We will also take time to review how we measure progress and evaluate the impact of our efforts, ensuring that we are making a tangible difference for SEND families in York.

Why Attend?

  • Collaborate with key leaders in SEND services
  • Shape the future of SEND provision and resources in your community
  • Discuss measurable goals and actions that matter to you
  • Ensure your voice is heard as part of the ongoing development process

All voices are welcome. Whether you’re a parent, educator, healthcare professional, or advocate, your insights are invaluable in shaping a more inclusive and supportive environment for SEND families.

Reserve your place now and be part of building a brighter future for children and young people with additional needs in York.
